Damn, you guys are really spoiling this girl....good thing she's not a brat LOL.

Thank you so much sayhuh for the box of goodies, she absolutely loves it...she had been crying and was really upset when the mail came so it really cheered her up. Woody's spur broke off and she was devastated....but, we wend and got some epoxy and fixed him up. O

I'm not sure who to thank for the sticker book, the return label says Cheryl Dutton, so whoever YOU are thank you for sending that....she loves stickers, and of course Toy Story.

THANK YOU to everyone who voted on the bike donation. I know it was a difficult thing to choose just one kid to give it to, and I'm sure some of you chose not to vote for that reason. John got the most votes, so I will tell you a bit more about him, I avoided giving too many details about all the kids so that there were no unfair advantages. All of the kids could have used the bike just as much as the others, but a couple of them have heartbreaking stories, so I didn't want to sway votes.

So, John is a 15 year old boy who goes to school with Jazz. When I first asked their "special ed" teacher if she thought any of the kids in the class would get any good use out of Jazz's old bike she immediately said John without even thinking....she named a couple others, but he was obviously at the "top" of her list. Anyway, he has Asperger Syndrome, which from my understanding is a type of Autism. He is a really cool kid, every time I volunteer in the class he is always by my side and really seems to enjoy "helping". He doesn't talk much, but when he does it's extremely loud and he likes to make sure everyone hears him. He lives with his mom and dad and has no siblings. His dad has Aspergers too and his mom is the only one in the family who is able to work....so they don't have much of anything, not even a car. To be honest, alot of times Charlene, their teacher buys his lunch just so she knows he is eating. All in all....he is a pretty good kid, he doesn't show much if any emotion so it's difficult to tell when he is happy....but I have a feeling getting this bike may just spark a smile.

Anyway, Monday I will talk with Charlene and ask her to set up a time and day we can deliver the bikes, I'm going to give his dad my bike as well so they can ride together. I'm hoping to be able to take some video, or at least some pictures. I will keep you all posted and let you know what I find out on Monday.

Again....thank you all for everything!!
