SSA Subs

i seriously wished i owned one :/ ha i have experienced them tho. icon. weak sub but sounds amazing. xcon. WOW! still havnt heard the dcon or zcon tho

How is the Icon "weak?" Is it not loud, or can it not take much more power over rms? Or do you mean "weak" in a different way?

just weak like my cvx. but sounds amazing. go for it no hesitations

I think he means weak as in not huge or beefy like other subs....which it's not meant to be. Their subs are somewhat more sq first with being loud 2nd.

I've had the xcon's and they're awesome subs, have the zcon's now and they're even better. Great customer service as well

Okay, thank you for the clarification. A subwoofer being weak can be perceived many different ways lol

I see that everyone has either voted for "its excellent" or talked highly of the subs. Has anybody had any bad experiences with SSA?

Hunter throw out what he said. using the word weak to describe it isnt exactly a technical reason or a real world reason. if thats what you want you'll be fine.

alright sub, not my fav but far from the worst out there, i had the first edition i dont know if they have changed over the years but it sounded decent for what it was, output wise i was wanting more but id may have just been my personal preference rather then ability of the woofer

Anything built by scott is excellant imo... ascendant,FI, ssa...... all quality subs... my teamate runs the zcons and they sound awesome

Good info here. Was about to pull the trigger on one. Looking at the ICON for my MazdaSpeed3. Like the made in USA and the good feeling of buying from someone that you can actually talk to if needed.
