Got to play with a new piece of gear today. If you've ever shot an M240 or M249 you know that your "Kevlar" can/will get in the way of your sights or your "eye pro" can/will fog up, the MDO (Machine gun Day Optic) alleviates that and makes it easier to acquire targets at longer distances accurately. The RMR (Ruggedized Miniature Reflex) is just as effective at closer range.

.5 mil to 9 mil center and bullet drop compensator and the rear lens is huge.

The rear houses the fiber optic that rotates to open or close it depending on how bright it is outside (no more electrical tape!)

The RMR is tiny but damn effective. (now I see what all the rave is about having them mounted on pistols)

This is an awesome easy to use piece of gear. It was familiar (like having an AR-10 after owning a AR-15) it takes a bit to "wow" me with gear but this did, big time. You are able to see what you're engaging and keep it on target through the dust kick up, especially when you do longer bursts. I was able to shoot 20 round burst groups the size of a fist with this shit.
