Review my setup ( seems it could be louder)

Recommended Posts

i dont got big 3 and at full tilt it is 13.9 volts on stcok 60 amp alt with my AQ 1200.1D And at idle it is 15.1 Volts.

i still say there is bad connections and shit.

bad battery , bad connections , or bad alternator. or all 3. he should have to drop so much in to stay at a decent voltage and i think he probably has his gains up.

.... you stay off topic if you want our help get your questions out let us help and move on. this topic has gone on about nothing for a while

got any tips on how i can increase my voltage.

As was told multiple times, HO alt with some good agm batts and a lot of 0 gauge wire.

Whats so hard about that?

Id like a ho alt but im not pushing to get it just yet + cash low so i say not so easy.

i didnt read, do you have the big 3 done? how many amps is your alt

No big three i was going to do that today but was unable to . alt is 110/90 not to sure but around there if not.

what you have a xs vcm?

gains are not up but there not low either . safe enough for me to crank the volume all the way to 62of 62 and not have to worry .Want to know why?well you should already know id get some bad voltage fluctuation going on.

Happy 300 post to me.

Id like to thank the trollers and the haters +1 to my inspirators

there isnt a way to boost your voltage in your case. yeah you can go ahead and spend $100+ for a new regulator module, but whats the fucking point if your alt cant output the current anyways? voltage will still drop to 12 or whatever you're dropping to now. there's no other way around a HO alt. stop it.

there is something fucked up in your car. like relyks said, it could be a bad part in your alt, causing it to output like 1/3 or 2/3 of its rated power. or it could be a bad/old battery. or some loose wiring.

this thread fucking fails. i dont know why its still open. OP doesnt even seem interested in figuring out his problem anymore since he's so happy with his 300 posts worth of shit.

the big 3 should be the first thing on your list. you're pulling over 100 amps through some piece of shit stock 8 gauge on the alt. think about that.

Heres another problem non voltage related. when im listening to music i have to turn my deck the the max to achieve maxx loudness.

sla to -4 and sometime the bass has to come down a few notches.

but with sla @0 and bass at 0 it gets loud and u cal here clipping in alot of songs stil have to go all the way to max volume to chieve maxx output.

gains are set any higher and things start to sound like crap. some songs are louder than others still my volume is at maxx even at 57 55 its like im on 15

lol how do you know when everything is on 0 that you have to max out the volume to get loud? you just said so yourself that you'll hear distortion before you even reach max volume. thats cause your gains are fucked up, more than likely. and you want to have a 150db trunk car. lol.

some tracks are recorded lower than other allowers me to go to 0 ,on setting. how can my gains be screwed when my highs are bearly reaching high volume. i even lower them to there rated power and still have to use maxx volume . i have a 2 volt headunit

Something is fucked up. Go through your entire system. Don't just bullshit with it, go through everything. Tune everything correctly.

how do you know what max volume is tho? your saying like you know for a fact where your head unit distorts, then your adjusting things to crank more out of it. what are you adjusting? the setting on your HU or the setting on the amp
