As long as you install and run them correctly, you will have 0 issues.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

Something must be wrong in your install.

Have you checked everything ?

Use the HPF on the amp or on the head unit. Try to set it above 80 Hz.

i have it set to 125 for both front and rear and i have my head unit eq set to 0

i used the dd1 to find the distortion and i turned it down a 16th to make sure i would never go into distortion then i used my cc1 to match the gains and set the hz the 125 exactly using the included cd

call me a noob if 90% of you already know this but i couldn't find anything about it on this site or the net so here it goes.

I'v been beating my self in the head. I'm blowing these tweets with in the first week of installing them i have gone threw 6 sets of tweets. (yes i used the dd1 and the cc1 to get everything set right) running them off a t400.4 so only 76 rms per channel at 4 ohms so i knew i wasn't over powering them and no distortion yet I'm blowing them really fast. so anyways long story short i called rockford fosgate and they told me that when you have them set up to a single amp and have them set to all pass the bass loaded songs will go threw the cross overs and blow the tweets for the simple fact they cant handle those sound waves. (i though that was the job of the cross overs to filter out the sound waves for those speakers but i was wrong according to rockford fosgate)

rockford is switching me out with new ones so no worries just annoying and figure i would give anyone else the heads up

rockfords recommended settings are as follows

switch crossovers to bi amp and run the tweets off the front channels and the 6.5 midbass off the rear channel (besides this is better for the rf amp users out there on the t series 4 channel amps have the bass knob option but it only controls the rear channels) thus solving my problem and possibly someone elses!!

Good to know since I just got mine in the mail today. I was already going to set all my amps to high pass and use the front channels though. Got the twins DD and CC one on deck. Now I just need to get my car back from the shop to have some fun
