Amart88 Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 I was thinking of using some great stuff expanding foam to seal some gaps around a wall. What is the correct type of foam to get? I went to the hardware store and they have like 20 different versions of foam. Windows and doors, low expansion, great stuff pro, cracks, flexable and so on. gaps are about 3-4 inches need to seal up and the extra reinforcment wouldnt hurt Quote My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.

Since the gap is that large and if youre only trying to seal, fiberglass would be better IMO. But if you just filling gaps to keep vibration or port flex so and on for you wall. Black can great stuff or layers of the regular can, if its in one small area. Guest Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 yeah you have to use the whole can in 1 session. once you start feeding the foam through the plastic nozzle, if you leave it alone to set for a while, it'll get hard and you cant use it anymore. Quote
