Necessary tools for box making

I guess im more interested on what saws or techniques people use to get a straight cut. I dont need brand names, but you can put down what you like and have used.

Basically what kind of saw or saws? a router? Anything else like a straightedge or something

i use a square, and a basic handsaw. if you get a long straigvht edge with clamps on the wood, it ensures a straight cut. helps a lot if you have shaky hands or just suk at straight lines. make sure to measure

Router with circle jig / straight cut but / flush trim bit / roundover bit

Various clamps

90 degree square

twice and cut onece and take into account that thesaw blade is 1/16 thick so add that to your dimensions. (make sure when after you cut first piece its good)

Ok and if you cant afford a table saw, what would be another viable option lol

So it looks like you only need a router (preferably a plunge)

If you have a circular saw then you can use a straight edge as a guide to get straight cuts. Just clamp your straight edge to the work piece whee you need it, then push the base of the circular saw up against it while making your cut.

Jasper Jig FTMFW, if you need to cut circles it's the only way to fly. Oh but will need a router to mount it to. A table saw, circular saw, jig saw, and 18v drill. Those are just the basics I use everyday.
