Inside is a lot smoother than it was, i'll work on it some more tomorrow. Don't forget I still got that piece of mdf here. And if you end up needeing any help lemme know. I was actually thinking about that today, the plunge cuts that is, and I think I'm gonna go try something on my shopsmith tomorrow to test it out. I'll let you know how it works out. Did you ever get a chance to test your circular saw with that other method? I have an idea it will work, but the meet point of the horizontal and vertical cuts is a problem. Unless wood filler is used after the fact. Its a dilemma for sure. OrionStang Posted May 21, 2012 Author Report Posted May 21, 2012 I think i've done about as well as can be done sanding by hand. All the rough fiberglass edges are knocked down, I really smoothed the back corner of the port, and put a little round on the inner port lip. When the second baffle goes on, I want to round the port opening nicely with a router. So now, I'm waiting for Tim to get back from a trip, and get this sealed up. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
OrionStang Posted May 21, 2012 Author Report Posted May 21, 2012 Drove down to vacuum out the car and the clutch is slipping, just a little right now, but it will only get worse. Also noticed that the rear end is squeaking since the subs are out. I have no choice but to tear it out. It was fun and had some potential, but I can't afford to be replacing the clutch and suspension components just to have a wall. So I will be having a big sale. Stay tuned.
