2010 Mustang GT Walled; It Was Fun, Time to go Fast

What type of resin do you have? There's a type of resin that has a waxy layer that rises to the top (forgot the name of it) when it cures. So if you have that kind of resin and you let it fully cure, you need to sand it down before you can apply more.

If someone doesn't chime in on what that resin type is I'll find out and post back.

Pretty sure the fiberglass will not stick to the masking tape, that's how I've seen people make molds and be able to pull it off the masking tape

I may be wrong though

I will be going way past the tape onto the wood. Tape is just to keep resin off the car.

right on the tape is fine...if you don't want the glass to get one what is under the tape (I assume that's why the tape is there) then use more layers of tape then you think would be necessary. You don't want any leaking through

Plan on a couple more layers of tape, it will be a few days before my supplies get here anyway.

Haven't ordered yet. Waiting on sietecinco's suggestion. I would like to avoid having to sand between layers.

http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=91& Get the 24.9oz, if your read the details it says "Excellent for tabbing and corner reinforcement"

http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=37& has gone up like crazy. google search to see if you can find laminating resin local. That's what I did to save money but had to buy 5 gallons to make it worth the purchase.

http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=50& I like to use different color dies for layering. Make it easier to see what area has been worked on and how many layer the area has.
