Hifonicsmax1 Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 You could buy aluminum bars for internal bracing, but that would change your internal volume some. 1/2" Aluminum plate would would look sick, but may cost a bit. Btw its not the cost of the 3/4" steel you would have to worry about. It's actually not that bad, but if your talking about 3/4" plate, then your talking about 300+ lbs. it's still not cheap but not as bad as you would think. To be honest, thinking about the size of yours, it would probably be about 400+ lbs for all that steel. If you were in Florida I'd machine the metal for ya. MDF could also do the job for ya.
