weshole
No one says beyma Prownd 6.5s and some ph35s would get stupied loud and sound AMAZING Arent they both discontinued? I thought at least I thought the tweeters were. And If Im also not mistaken, to get the tweets, mids, and Xovers, wouldnt that be well over the $500 he wants to spend? I am curious myself if these are available and for less than I suspect.

Watch the bass
http://www.ebay.com/itm/SYSTEM-220MKII-DYNAUDIO-5-75-2-WAY-COMPONENT-SPEAKERS-/110568409269?pt=Car_Speakers&hash=item19be6408b5. Had 2 pairs of the bigger brother´s 6.5 in the front of my SQ competition car in the mid 90th. Had the best sound of my class in German finals. They still look the same since over 25 years, but Dynaudio working on them, you see it sometimes change the specs (the 6.5 mid of today can take 20 watt higher RMS). l still have a pair of them with the famous MD 120 tweeter, the only reason i would find to gave them away would be death by thurst or hunger. kirill007
JBL components are great too, not enough people mention them. They handle power very well and get loud while sounding GOOD. They eat up and shit out the xxxs for breakfast! With just the mid, u wouldn't even need the tweeter to stop the xx x out! Prownds are 150 each so 300 for mids 149 for ph35 so I think that's underbudget he don't need a huge expensive crossover just a bass blocker for the SCSB Santa Cruz Speaker Box Build logs: Daily Driver Lemon Marquis 2 american bass 750.1s 350.4 on 14 focal 6.5s sq 945 on 4 hertz tweeters Mystery subs http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 The Mustang 'dubbed' Shirley the project from bullet holes to badass http://www.stevemead...cond-skin-time/

weshole
A lot of what is said here is opinions. Mine included. Your honest best bet is to find someone/someplace with any of the said brands in question and listen to them for yourself. Is there any stereo shops in your local area? They may be a good starting point to base a decision on. I dont deny that a lot of the brands mentioned in this thread are good. They are and all for different reasons to different people. But I (personally) would not put them way above any of the other brands. To say "this brand is WAY better than that brand is purely subjective" So it is entirely up to you in the end. If you cannot find anything to listen to, you may have to take a chance with whatever you purchase. I wish you luck in your purchase and KEEP POUNDIN!!!!! Oh and btw... TREO is some bad ass shit too!!!!
