I was gonna take the "chrome" part off mine and repaint it because it was chipping until I googled how to remove it. That insert is held on by about 8 little plastic clips on mine that snap when you look at them wrong, but a little wiggle and finesse with a plastic pry tool pops it right off. I got to looking at it the other day and it has a chip right next to the chevy emblem and the thing collects bug guts and water spots like no other, so fuck it, cover it up. Keep it up I'm tuned!
