Also got it most of the way installed, just need to pull the dash apart to run the remote over to the driver side and then hit it with the DD-1. Can't remember if I did -5 or -10 db the last time I tuned, don't know which to do this time :/ UBL | Build Log

Also took the opportunity since I was going to unplug them anyways, and color coded my 4 channel RCA's with some electrical tape. And I would go out and test it, but we've had about 14-16" of snow drop in the last 48 hours and the roads are kind of shitty. Luckily I can at least do this work in the garage, not a lot of room or heated but it stays above 40o, just gotta keep away from the door. And if it gets too cold in there I can turn on the propane heater if I really need to. UBL | Build Log

matt14 Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 I have heard that the clip meters are inaccurate. I never used the knob that came with it, thats why it was brand new when I sent it. I use the PAC LC1. Lbox88 Posted February 6, 2014 Author Report Posted February 6, 2014 I've heard that too but when I was tuning it was daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn close, I mean the clip light came on just barely a moment before the DD-1 started to faintly glow and that was using a -10db tone. Primarily it's been on a few songs that really seem to get the light going and when listening to it you don't really hear that much of a gain in the low end as volume increases past that point, which contributes to the idea that it is for sure clipping.
