Trigg
I just really can't think of anything else to say, but WOW! there is some VERY hard headed people out there. Anyone who says a DD-1 isnt necessary is also saying an O-scope isnt necessary. Anyone who says an O-scope IN THE MINIMUM isnt necessary, is a noob. Forget the DD-1 for a minute, any reputable installer will at LEAST use an O-scope. Those guys in that thread are clowns. Hard headed clowns. audiofanaticz
Makes you wonder why this guys' window didn't end up in tiny pieces huh. flex breaking window - YouTube umm because that back window is tinted and the glass is sticking to the tint.. OP mentioned EXO's vehicle also has tint. And if you look at their video the glass shards on the seat look pretty dark. Its STOCK tint. way different than a vinyl tint that is applied to the inside of the window... Incase you cant read I quoted it for ya... Was that window tinted? Just factory tint, Some glass stayed around the window like that because he had it tapped closed.
Quiet
3 ounces at a small point. Similar to a loose bolt inside banging against glass. bass may have made it bang against a loose bolt, but the same thing would've happened the next time he slammed the door shut. But this thread is fucking hilarious. I needed the laugh. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
techforce
I do not feel like reading through all of this, but here is what happened... This is the second window that was knocked off its track from flexin. So technically the flexing is what caused the bottom piece that holds the window in place to come apart and the pin was hitting the glass and on a certain note the metal pin hitting the window broke the glass... IT WAS NOT FROM PRESSURE, BUT A MECHANICAL FAILURE DUE TO VIBRATIONS FROM THE BASS. You can believe it or not, frankly I do not care. But it happened and it was fucking awesome! Good TImes! ** NOTE ** IF YOU HAVE A 160 DB SYSTEM THAT DID NOT BREAK WINDOWS, MAYBE TRY TUNING A LITTLE LOWER TO 28HZ LIKE FRANKY IS AND YOU WILL BE BREAKING WINDOW TRACKS AND BACK GLASS HINGES LIKE FRANKY WITH ONLY 151db... Pick it apart all you want, I am very happy with my system and the way it is. It is not the loudest in the world, was not intended to be. But dam! does it sound good! techforce
they already did that and all they could do was the sun roof at 160+dbs at 16hz . Hmm..... I know of a lot of people that have broken their windshields with less than 160db, happens all the time, so I laugh at the mythbusters...
