OBI Posted July 15, 2012 Author Report Share Posted July 15, 2012 Been a while since I've updated this, but I got quite a bit more done. Hopefully I'll have it playing in the next week or so. First would like to show what subs im going to end up running this time around. DC performed great just wanted to change it up, and I feel that these subs would do what I want them to do better. Got most of the areas I was concerned with being weaker with some fiberglass. Did about 4-5 layers of glass on most of the seams and 2 layers on the stronger seams. Have about 2 gallons of resin in this box already. Feels very strong. Then I went over most of it again with kitty hair. Port Got the first baffle layer cutout, making sure it fit right Cut a few holes in it. Braced the port and side walls alittle more with some 2x4s. And I had to make some notches in my port and baffle mounting areas. Thanks to Arik for this idea. I had concern with the 2 thin point in my baffle being to weak and didn't and couldn't really run any bracing from the back to the baffle. So I put these 2x4's where the subs meet. Is was a very tight fit. Once in the box the 2x4's were glued and screwed into the side walls of the wall and the port. Added a few more layers. Here is the last one ready to go in.
