1 12 re xxx box Well i just read a review Once again saying ported could sound better then sealed. If so can some help me with a ported box.I wanted to put my sub behind my seat on top and the port facing the trunk or should i face it in the cabin were my sub will be.

as for the money there is a lot better out there, unless you have the old one's you know before they were popular

Port and sub in opposite faces of the box is a no go.

Okay So i would be better putting port through the top as well on the side of the sub?

a 4th order may work for you

here's one i have in archives

1.1cuft sealed net (0.2 sub)

2.3 cuft ported

5.5x 5.5x 36.5"long (5" external) at 30hz

if port is shortened flush with top of box = 33hz

you got a car?..if so i would face sub and port forward into the cabin..and seal it off from the trunk...in most cases that is your best option in cars...I know it worked for me previously

Firing both forward or back is usually the fail-proof way to do it. With the 12" XXX, do something like 2.75-3ft^3 with an upper 20's tuning.
