TheBetterMethod
Hey guys, I'm looking for the best High CFM 80mm fans. I don't do anything with computer modding, so I'm unfamiliar with brands. I'm installing an amp under a false floor with probably 2 80mm fans for cooling. I'm planning on one for intake the other exhaust. Looks to me like 30cfm is pretty standard, but I found ultra high speed fans that flow 50-80 or more. I probably don't need that kind of power, but it cant hurt either. SO I'm looking for recommendations on the best brands or certain brands to stay away from. Emmet
Arctic cooling, Noctua and Nexus fans are teh shit. I know arctic cooling and noctua make silent fans too if your worried about noise but noctua can be pricy. Maxim
Vantec's Tornado series has some major airflow, but makes a good amount of noise as well. Small resistors are used a lot in PC's to lower the fan voltage from 12v down to 7v or even 5v. This lets you still get plenty of airflow but lower the rpm's and the noise level a bit. Tornado fan: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16811999612 7v fan resistor http://www.quietpcus...ble-P102C9.aspx It would require a minor amount of modding to fit the resistor on the fan wires and tie it into the car's electrical system but would do a great job at reducing noise levels if you found the fans too loud. Quote wtf is lolcats? I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers. I was hoping for 150 . kirill007
like sheena said, delta fans are high cfm. But why not choose for a 12cm fan? Like the scythe kaze 3000, its a beast. Skullz
Delta by a landslide imo, while not very quiet they'll last a very long time. I have 2 80mm FFB fans that have been running 7 years straight now with no hint of wearing out.
