MRLOVETHATBASS
hey wats up fellow bass heads, im noticing a a drop in my voltage and i was wondering would it make any diffrence if i disconnected the extra runs of 0 guage coming from the back to alt to the front battery then alternator. like basically my extra runs of 0 are connected to my alternator meaning power wire. but i was thinking bout taking them off and connecting them to the front battery then to the alternator., would ait make a diffrence
DylanH
So you would have a run from the alt to the battery to the amp? MECHMAN
Connect your alternator charge and ground directly to the primary battery under the hood. Then connect your amp power or secondary battery to the primary battery. I prefer to run charge and ground cables directly to insure the best possible ground. Using this same topic i do have a question for you, i have 2 runs of positive and negative wires, what about if i use one positive from my mechman alt to the primary battery and use the other one from the alt directly to the amplifier? just a dumb question lol Quote I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. There is far more instant power available from the batteries than the alternator, the response time of the alternator will slow power delivery and it can add unnecessary strain to the alternator. It's best to connect the alternator direct to the primary battery, then branch out from there. fecupe2001
yeah man, i´ve been into car audio for about 12 years and i honestly feel that i learn something new everyday, for an example you ca take my mechman 270A alternator, i was having some major voltage drops until you told me to add another run from alt case to battery negative, i never thought that would be such a gain lol, but anyways, thanks a lot for the inputs!!
