I got a Ohio generator 270a hairpin alt to replace my stock one a few months ago and lately I see people talking about running power and GROUNDS from your HO alt. Mine has no ground studs... I don't know why. I caled ohio gen and they said there is no ground stud on them.??? Is this ok? seems strange from what I have been reading... Stock batt is is the trunk.

Not sure. i know there is no designated ground post on it. I mean it's alot of work and wire to run 1-2 runs of 1/0 for ground to my batt in the trunk if I did not need to.

I got 2 runs of power already and it BARELY fits. 2 door Cobalt (pontiac pursuit)

So being a unibody car where the stock battery is in the trunk, would I benefit at all by running a run of 1/0 from a mounting bolt to the negitive battery terminal in trunk?

Technically considering where your battery is located, thats part of your big 3 that you failed to do it sounds like. Do you have a ground going from the engine block to the battery in the rear?

this.

a ground from the alternator mounting bolt to the battery is/should be part of your big 3.

no the alt should not have a ground stud on it.

Any advice for running 1/0 knu under the car? have no room left inside for 1/0
