Cameronmyers74 Posted April 12, 2012 Report Posted April 12, 2012 okay so this JL 8 inch sub(http://www.jlaudio.com/8w1v2-4-car-audio-w1v2-subwoofer-drivers-92070) says it should be tuned to 38.0 hz well it has a circle port, but I wanna do a square port so below is the frequency of 38.55 going to make a big difference?? and also I calculated is as one box cause jl's site only gives you specs for on one box, the the port would be like a t shape inside the box Quote

And yes, 38.55Hz would be close enough to 38Hz but I don't see why you're tuning that high or using these specs Quote Build in progress

Imagine a block of wood 12" tall by 12" wide by 12" deep. You're saying that you'll be using 3/4 of this chunk of wood for bracing. Quote Build in progress
