Herokight
I know this has been disputed over and over again, and I could probably find something on it if I dug through the forum enough, but which is better? Is it preference? Does one out perform the other? Or is it different from install to install like alot of other things in car audio? Quote Lane AKA HeroKight '96 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4x4 R.I.P. ALPINE408
Square subs have more cone area that's about it for advantage So if you have a pair of round 12's and then a pair of square 12's the square ones will be a little bit bigger Quote Have you ever had your woofers blown? Idk what it is about square woofers, but they bother me. Just the look of them make me uncomfortable. Like, they don't even look like they move naturally. It's like a wall vibrating at your face. Now round subs, those are sexy. Quote Lane AKA HeroKight '96 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4x4 R.I.P. Molliboo $200 for new tires, on a jeep!? jrchevy87
on a serious note tho, i never liked the idea of a square sub cuz it seems like the corners of the surround would be stiffer than the rest of it and i dont know for sure but it would seem that would cause non-linear movement of the cone Quote Jeep Wrangler TJ Hardtop Build
