max.krupski Posted April 20, 2012 Report Share Posted April 20, 2012 ok so i fried my stock 150 amp alternator for my 2010 fusion and now only puts out 10 volts!!!!!! if i charge my battery every night can i still drive my car or no?? and what size of alternator do i need if i stayed running a total of 1360watts rms and What would i need if i went to 4000watts rms right now all i have is a yellow top battery in my car btw. this had to right now ???fml its $225 just in labour to do the alternator in my car Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Relectuntly I drove it to work on 11 volts I felt so terrible. Kranny Posted April 20, 2012 Report Share Posted April 20, 2012 drive home with the bare minimum of accessories. no heat, headlights if you need them. i seriously dont recommend this, but if the street lights can light the streets up well enough, just keep your hazards on and drive home. at a stop light, put it in neutral and use the ebrake to keep you still, as to not use the brake lights.
