Avery Howell Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 Acorrding to the basic specs the SoloX is better (More RMS Power and more Surface area) but is the SoloX really better than the SMD? And obviously using a better amp with the SMD can make it better than the SoloX and vice versa, but I'm talking about the sub itself. Guest DC Power Kyle Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 The SoloX is definitely the better woofer... More cone area, bigger coil, more RMS rating... /sarcasm. RMS rating on Fi/AA and a lot of other brands is the "Dummy factor" SMDs can take 6kw+ of CLEAN power no problem..
