NLMax
I have a problem with my Voltage.. I can't install a bigger alternator in my car because there is no space for it. My average voltage is 12,5 ( with no Music! ) And i have a drop of 1-1,5V I have 2 battery's, 45AH in the front, No space for a bigger one. And 55ah in the back. I tried to install a capacitor but the voltage is still 12,5.... And if i turn the car on the capacitor turn down to 8V and turn off. I can buy a used Ground zero 3500A battery for 125 Euro. Specs; 12 Volt 90 Ah 3500 A competition ability New price: 467 euro Special made for car audio. But will it help? So what can i do for a higher voltage.. _______________________ Subwoofer: Sundown Sa-15 Amp: Sundown Saz-2000D _______________________________ Sorry for my bad english, I come from The Netherlands Edited April 28, 2012 by NLMax
Guest
12.5? i'd say your alt is dead. but when 8v when the car is off, then i'd say the batteries are dead. im not sure though
Noobtastic14
If you sit at 12.5 with the car on your alternator is not working properly. Once you replace it you can try and get as much battery storage as possible and put them on a charger every time the car is parked at your house. -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. Unless you are trying to charge a completely dead battery, your alternator is on it's way out. What does your battery sit at with the car off? SojiaRaggs9000
If the car is running you should see around 14v. If not like they said above... your alternator is bad. RooTxBeeR
I can't agree anymore with what everyone said. And to what you said about no more room for a bigger alt, Call up mechman, they built custom alts to fit what you need. It will be more money than other but your not going dissapointed at all.
