I don't know man, there are very few threads on here that I don't mind the reading in between the pics, and this is tops on that list. Reason is you explain a lot of shit and it all makes sense. It's not just talking about adam's butthole and gay jokes! Not sure how we let that get passed on this thread, but it is.

Anyway, a UBL might hurt your game! LMAO!

BTW, ordered my actuator yesterday!

Thanks Dude, I do try to explain a lot of my madness to those interested. :D

Nope, don't jinx it. I like the flow if my build and try to not let it spiral out of control like some others.

Actually a UBL might be a good idea.

I'm sure there's a lot of people who only like pics so that might be a way to draw them in.? Hmmmm.

But I see what you're saying.

:woot: What kind did you end of getting?

Gotta love some actuation!

I got a 10" 35lb force. I figure it'll be fine. If not I'll get a second one and put it on the other side. Remember I have split seats. SO I'll link them together on a switch so one switch drops and raises both. But then I don't have to worry about them being in sync and twisting something up. Make sense?

Man oh man! Those numbers are nice!! I bet you could break a 150 on a burp since you made it basically air tight and maybe tweak the under carriage by stiffening it a bit. If I had the resources to do it, I would take this kind of work to my build. Just excellent.

Theres 2 versions of the CC one with a 3 inch coil and 1 with a 4 inch

picture of the 4 inch coil one. i believe the motor was slightly bigger on the 4 then the 3/

Edit the 3 inch ones were discontinued when the 4s came along

I did message jack for you asking about the motor diameter. Once he gets back to me with that you can do what you please with the info.

I do think the white woofers would look sexy in your car!and be a bit louder!

Another thought is what about maybe just a slightly bigger amp down the road? 7.5k? or is it an electrical issue

Nice!

Yeah, I would think they'd be fine and not get too far out of sync.

I'm sure lots of people have used separate actuators on one panel without problems, as long as they are mounted exactly symmetrical so nothing binds.

My rear seat is fairly heavy and my 40lb pound actuator had no issues at all.

My new one is 35lb and seemed fine on test runs.

Hmm, one quick and solid burp might actually gain me a little. The song I used to get 148 hits pretty suddenly so it might be close, but worth a shot.

I'll try and get my hands on some good test tones and see what I can do.

4" coil...

Thanks for requesting the info, would be handy to know.

Yeah, those white accents would really tie into my car well.

A bigger amp is somewhat out of the question. Electrically and physically.

I physically don't have much more space in my trunk to squeeze in an amp bigger then my 5K.

I could "maybe" get it in there but I also want it mounted nicely and to blend into the install.

I also don't have room for any more batteries. I can only squeeze in my two XP3000's (and my tiny little D375 under the hood).

A 7.5K would really want more then that to be happy and I wouldn't want to risk it.

Now, I suppose I could look into re-coning and dropping my 5K to a nominal 0.5ohms....

But, then again I might be stretching my electrical a bit.

Videos???????????????????????????

:peepwall:

I took a couple last weekend, but they didn't turn out very well.

The lighting on the camera was bad, the frame-rate didn't show much detail, especially on the subs.

Since the camera's can't properly pick up the bass, they really tend to emphasize the vibrations in the car and make them sound worse then they are.

I need to tackle some of those vibrations as well.

I'm working on it though.........

I have a handheld Ion sports camera that I'm going to try out and see if that works.
