learn to build a box

ive never actually built a box before and i was just wondering where would be a good place to start. or where can i learn more about building a subwoofer enclosure.

Are you looking for how to get the design/tuning or how to physically build a box?

1. Get a design

2. cut out wood to the size give on design with either a table saw, circular saw, router, butter knife or whatever other tool you have

3. glue the pieces together like it shows on design and use either clamps, nails, screws to hold the wood together while the wood drives

4. put subwoofer in box

what kind of enclosure are you looking for? ported or enclosed? what frequency do you want to tune it to? What subwoofer do you plan on using?

To succeed in building an ultimate box is incredibly difficult and not everyone succeeds despite many years of experience, but many may build a basic box that reproduces sound.

Download torres box tuning calculator on here. A great place to start. Then do research. Every sub wants a different enclosure.
