Go-N-Def Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 so i finally hooked up my dc xl nobody said that shit was so vicious. it's wired at .5 omh because the the olny way to get good power going to it with the only amp i got. anyhow i think im tuned to around 35hz. my prob is my subs only sound good on low song id like it to be universal , so im thinking tuning to 38 would that do the trick? looking to play different types of music or everything not just low songs. Another friend rocking his 2 12s had them at 36hz the subs were on about 600w, they did fine on the higher stuff but the power and strength would you say wasnt really there on some of those low low songs. The sub more than likely will play up to 100+ Hz in the box you have now, but the design has a peak above tuning that is overpowering frequencies above the peak.
