Amart88
If i'm setting my gains on my bass amp(s) with the DD-1, can I use the HPF on the HU so my stock door speakers don't kill themselves? HunterJohnson
yes or on the amp Quote Scion tC SQ BuildiPad mini, lots of fabrication, daily drivenFord Explorer C Pillar Wall Build Just a cheap car to destroy with bass
OrionStang
No. You are playing a 40hz tone for the sub, if your HPF is set above that, the dd-1 won't recieve the signal. The mids are gonna have to suck it for a few seconds, or you will need to disconnect the wires. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

OrionStang
In the manual, it tells you that all filters must be all the way open. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
sprkn_ranger
The 40hz tone didn't get crazy on my stock speakers when Orionstang helped me set mine with his dd-1. Just let em rip for a few minutes while you set everything Quote Check out my build log! 4 Havocs in a blowthrough http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/187506-sprkn-rangers-blowthrough-build/
Decaf
If i'm setting my gains on my bass amp(s) with the DD-1, can I use the HPF on the HU so my stock door speakers don't kill themselves? what headunit? Its ABSOLUTELY OK as long as there is a dedicated subwoofer RCA because it can only be LPF'd so the HPF will not affect it at all... I've used the dd-1 this way about 10times for those with speakers connected to headunits amplifier
OrionStang
This is true Decaf. Im assuming a stock deck. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
Amart88
This is true Decaf. Im assuming a stock deck. It's a newer kenwood excelon. 4 v preout and it has dedicated SW out Quote My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
OrionStang
Then yes, you can set the hpf for your mids, it won't affect the SW outs. I should have asked about the deck, man. My mistake. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
