need help finding an amp for future frontstage

Recommended Posts

im going to be having my grad party on the 23rd, and im expecting to acquire a good amount of money.

i already started college and have everything i need, so all proceeds go to what i want ^_^

that means new gear!! including at least one set of RE Audio XXX 6.5's

but that means i need an amp that puts out 600watts / 300wrms.

i'd still like to keep it on a reasonably budget, so that pretty much cuts out JL Audio.

ideas?

e/: i was looking at a 720w peak kenwood amp, but i've heard they run kind of hot?

dont really no what your budget is or where you prefer to buy, but all under $200

in this order would be my choice

and if you want something a bit cheaper, and less power

The XXX's don't need that much power. I would look into a nice 150 watt per channel amp.

This one from Arc should fit the bill just nicely:

yeah but im trying to have the amp match the speaker for frontstage

and they recommend 150rms each

Screw matching power ratings on speakers as they'll take more power like subs can if your smart about it and don't blow them.

More power is better in front stage as it means less distortion and a cleaner sounding front stage to build you sub stage on.

150w is a bare minimum for fronts but don't be afraid to get up into 300w per channel, it doesn't mean you'll use all that power it just means you'll have the power needed to play the level you want to listen to cleanly and without distortion.

EDIT: Look into the ZED Audio , Zuki custom , RF T1000.4

http://www.zukiaudio.net/Custom.html Do NOT let the ratings fool you, 5 zuki watts are close to 175 watts

alright, im new to front stage and have never used crossovers, or even external amps for aftermarket speakers.

could i get a quick like... 101 on front stage? haha

edit: also, i need to know how many batteries i need for ~3,000 rms

stock 140amp alternator, awaiting my big 3 upgrade

i was looking at keeping my interstate battery as my main, and 2 yellowtops for my trunk
