The trim piece will be bolted to the car on the sides (see the holes). Then, the box will be pressed up against it like a sandwich. The box with subs is heavy, and once attached from the back will squeeze that trim piece pretty tight. Using expanding foam on the seams. Blue tape will be laid on the car side first, for easy cleanup if the box needs to come out.

Kinda the same idea as the piece I made when I had the 2 xl 10's, bet a better fitting piece.

I took the thread title too literally I suppose

So got the trim cut to size.

IMAG1107.jpg

Went to go test fit it, and got to looking at how I need to rewire my batteries for the new amp. I had one + and one - to each battery from the front battery. Now, I have all runs going to the passenger side batt, with 2 runs each going from it to the driver side battery. The amps will get power from the driver side battery. Doesn't really matter I guess, as its on big bank either way but its cleaner, and makes it easier to wire the amps.

The trim piece bolt holes line up, but I don't feel like removing the rear brackets and moving the box to really test fit it right now. Tomorrow's another day LOL.
