Some of it has to do with what's in the rub the rest is skill.

I burned up quite a few things over the years trying to get it right.

I've burned all kinds of substances over the years and still can't seem to get anything right. :shrugs:

Maybe you aren't inhaling deep enough.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

While they are on the grill, make sure you wave hi to the neighbors too.

To get that color you'll want indirect heat for a while to get the smoke to give it that nice color.
