shallow subs in a blow-thru

A buddy of mine has a bagged 2009 ranger single cab........he's plannin on doing a blow-thru with 4 ten's shallow mount....I'm assuming RFp2.......would this work.......

I guess it would work but why would you not want to use a more optimal sub since there should be enough space

Shallows are pretty much only have one good application which is with very limited depth and in pretty much every other situation a beefy 8 or normal subs would be a better choice

Well I'm trying to convince him against it........but between the Cnotch and pumps and tanks he believes shallows are the way to go.......I showed him my new Sa8v.2's......so maybe I can change his mind.......but he's building more for show......

i think the whole point of blow thru is to use more regular sized subs lol

I guess it could work. But isn't one of the main goals of a blowthrough the ability gain space? If he has bucket seats, have him use 2 SA 8's in a custom center console. I have a RF shallow mount and it doesn't come close to my 2 RF P2 8's.

So overall I will say shallow 10's are not gonna do what he wants and shallow subs don't handle much power

to me shallow subs sound rather dry in bass
