But I'm curious as to how many people here have more money into their system than the car that it's in.... I'll start first My car was bought used (it's a 1998 ford escort zx2) for $3500 Car audio that has gone into it has been the following rear speakers: $100 front speakers: $100 Head Unit (DEH-P5000UB): $20 Subwoofers before bazooka tube 8" 50wrms: $80 current VVX-12D4: $150 Next (already purchased) DC audio 12" lvl 4 m2 D2: $330 misc: $200 Total is about $930..... $930 that I could have spent on something else more useful but I am definitely greatful on what I spent it on. I could go into detail, but I don't feel like it right now. any audiophile goes through many rebuilds again and again. I didn't include my failures (with the exception of the fuckin bazooka tube SMH) but I feel like a lof of people on here can say that the equipment in their car is worth more than the car itself lol. cjN Posted June 9, 2012 Report Share Posted June 9, 2012 $7500 on a car, and so far my system is 2 sa 12's - $325, 270amp mechman alt - $470ish, rf comp set - $110ish, had a rf amp but i sold it, looking to get maybe a crescendo 2k, or a sundown 2500. but i deffinantly don't have more into my system than my car. 2x sundown audio sa 12's Crescendo BC2000 kinetik 1800, 1400. I've got... 200 in my subs, 400 on the amps, 200 on Wiring I figures...... 150 On my exides... Pretty even, Gonna drop 200 on paint soon, 400 on a singer alt...
