Lol I kind of didn't answer that either. I play my system the very minimum once a day. If I ever get in my car, around 40% of the time while driving I am bumping. But as I stated, they are in a confined space and get pretty damn warm, but I bump A LOT and they take it well.

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

I do not know about the ONX monoblock amps, but I do know that the FX series are not 1 ohm stable. If you want to find out about the ONX series being 1 ohm stable, call up maxxsonics and ask tech suuport, but I wouldn't think that they can go below 1 ohm.

how long have you played straight? ever overheat?

I have demoed for 2-3 hours before with no issues. Ask Eric (RooTxBeer)

bear, how do you like the 1500? is it powering your woofers good? i was looking at the 1500 aswell as the 1000, they looked pretty solid

I have it on 3 18" from Partsexpress... and it gets down. I am doing high 40's with the wall ported. Not really an indication of the capability of the amp just throwing that out there. When I redo the wall I will have two of them strapped at 2 ohms. Won't put out quite 3000 watts but I will get some clamp numbers when it is all said and done.

I've got a Onyx 1500.1 sitting in a box right now. I cant wait to hook it up once my sub gets here. I plan on running my SSA Icon at 1 ohm once everything is up and running.

We got 1 in our lincoln on my wife's subs and it is very punchy and has easy to hook up 4 gauge wire connectors. We are running it at 1 ohm and it doesn't overheat.

  • 8 months later...

Im running the ONX1.1000D at 1 ohm to a RE Audio SEx 12D2 and it never gets warm and pushes the sub great. At the moment ive got the gains set to where the subs seeing just over 700 watts. Im getting 27.12 volts alittle over 1/4 gain. My h/u is a Kenwood DDX319 & has 4 volt preouts. I believe that this ONX1.1000D should be able to put out its rated power IMO...
