I've always been able to get rid of corrosion by pouring a mug of almost-boiling water on the terminal in question.

i usually use crc battery cleaner, and crc battery protector, they both come in spray cans and cost about 4$each. or you can also clean with water and baking soda and a tooth brush

I cleaned it best I could and put the Cnc protector from pep boys on it
