dog24fret
I'm old enough to remember when Sony amps were good. I even had a pair of Kicker 18s back before they inverted the dust caps. They had kicker in gold on the caps. Yea me right, just lettin you know I'm old. lol One of, if not my favorite sub Ohhh the memories. Loved how that logo looked going full tilt. I'm going to hate this but I actually remember Kicker as a home, church, auditorium and guitar music systems. Before they move to car audio with full range speakers. I remember when the Atari 2600 was the newest thing LOL I bought the first apple computer from Wal-Mart when you had to use dos programs to do anything. And the first Atari on a dial TV. I little off topic but what do yall remember gas prices being? 0.79 a gallon driving a 76 Malibu classic with 502 big block running two predator cabs getting 8mpg highway . I remember moving up from two Radio Shack 15's to a pair of first generation MTX Terminators....Only had them a few months when they were stolen out of my 1979 Datsun 210! Colin - STAPUFT
That sucks! Well that's one thing- there have ALWAYS been thieves after audio. I hate to admit it, but I've never hooked these up. They look impossibly good for as old as they are and the dmm reads good across the leads. Spiders aren't even dry rotted. I haven't been in the game nearly as long as some of you guys- my first sub was a 12" MTX 3000. Then up to the 5000s and so on. All I know is for me, there is no school like the old school- especially on the amps and processors. PPI made 50x2 amp? Or an old MTX Road Thunder 8" Truck box (worse for the wear and missing his dead brother) Organ donors?? 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain.
