Time for a new box. Same old subs. Just trying to gain some efficiency. I really want a 150 sealed up with a pair of 12s

Not terribly entertaining today. Watching paint... Well glue dry. Just sandwiching the wood together. 1.5" all around. I will say I'm digging the birch look though. I think some lacquer on top of it would look SICK. Not sure about stain though... I kind of like the lighter color

No clamps. This will work though

Music box. Just tuning higher this time. Mid 20s is fun but it KILLS my score

I'm not too concerned about a tongue/groove joint. No router table and it's not worth getting one to use it this once. Besides.. Fiberglass 45s + glass over that + bracing. It's not going anywhere ;)

Ain't nothing wrong with tuning higher, seen boxes tuned in the high 30's that can still play the high 20's :)

If you want to pull out the grain but aren't too fond of staining it, just put some clear polyurethane on it. It'll pull out the dark grains and give it a nice gloss look to it.

Got a nice little upgrade from toolmaker today. Big shoutout to the man for interpreting my various ramblings and making something sexy

Reason for the upgrade is I wanted to tidy things up a bit, make it a bit more space efficient, and hopefully get a little bit more performance out of the bank

So here's what it looked like before

New vs. old bolts. New ones are Aluminum, which itself is much more conductive than the steel ones I had. Larger diameter should help with conductivity too

The new bolts fit really nice into these recesses. I had to get those made because there wasn't enough thread to hold 1/2" of aluminum lol

No balancing on it yet, it will sit in the garage for a few weeks until I figure out a better way to do things. But that's not to say it can't look like a machined hunk of sexyness until I get it installed :P
