Born_Again
Still, why weigh down the car? Why not a nice light weight enclosure in the trunk, a few 8s maybe? If you're going to use that reasoning, why put any type of subs in any car, and especially a second alt that will most certainly decrease fuel economy? bassface
The serpentine conversion system is $3500 which isnt bad considering its fully loaded with ac and ps. I called alot of places and no one even recommends a ho alt for a v belt because they said it would slip, so I needed to get a serpentine system anyways. Edit: $3829.00 Didnt factor in CA state tax. AMI CUSTOMS
3500 isn't bad considering my quad kit with Mechman 340s was close to that figure and it isn't nearly as complex or as nice as that setup. alaskanzx5
Still, why weigh down the car? Why not a nice light weight enclosure in the trunk, a few 8s maybe? with hp he can put out with that engine i dont think weight is much of an issue. besides that, there are ways to build a big system in any car and the car still be able to b put back to stock with no sign of it being altered for a big system. just takes time and hard work Quote t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. bassface
Well I spoke with the owner of zoops again today ad he was telling me the alternators will come with a lifetime warranty, pretty happy about that. Will take them a couple weeks to build the system for me. And if i ever do decide I dont want that much electrical, the 2nd alternator bracket just unbolts and you can run a shorter belt. As far as ruining the car goes, I bought it to cruise it, not race it. Plus these old cars have so many parts available anything can be undone and brought back to stock very easily if you ever wanted to do that.
