Those engines are notorious for that. I just replaced mine. A friend of mine did hers about 6 monthes ago Yup B18... Overheated twice in the past (waterpump went out and hose took a dump)... been having this issue ever since. My teammates is the b18c3 I believe, GSR version, and I have never heard of him having these issues. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more.
