Well today did not quite go as I had planned. We found out that something tripped the GFI plug in our garage while we were on vacation, which caused half of the outlets to stop working. Our deep freezer was on one of those plugs. Long story short; I spent the morning filling trash bags with rancid meat, and my garage smells like a murder scene. I ended up not working on my truck til about seven this evening, so the only progress I've made so far is taking out the back seat, amps, second battery, head unit, and trim panels. I'm hoping nothing gets in my way tomorrow so I'll be able to spend the entire day running wire and getting everything as organized as I possibly can. Wish me luck!

I'm gonna start this update off with a little bit of bad news. When I got out to my truck this morning, I found out that I had done something very stupid last night. When I was pulling out the head unit last night, something was snagging and keeping the head unit from coming out. Being that I'm impatient, I figured I would just keep pulling and it finally came out. Well this morning I found that I had snapped the antenna off my head unit... BUT! I got online and found that there was an authorized Pioneer service center about 15 minutes from my house, and they fixed it for me for 35 bucks! Now I just have to hope it works...

Anyways, onto some pictures!

Running the new RCA's

Cleaned 'em up a little bit

P1170365_zpsa82e3259.jpg

Threw some Techflex on the bits behind the head unit

P1170366_zpsfba96598.jpg

Here's the stock Infinity amp. It was in my way for running speaker wire to the doors, so out it went!

Looks like fun...

Thankfully my truck doesn't use the kind of Molex connectors that you can't run wires past.

Got one run through

P1170371_zps4c65e74f.jpg

I'm trying to keep everything labeled so there's no confusion when I start putting everything back together.

P1170372_zps93c1531d.jpg

It's a bit of a tight fit, but it works!

P1170373_zps8be810af.jpg

Threw the stock amp back in place. I doubt it does anything other than power the speakers, but I decided to keep it in just in case I was wrong.

Trim panels back on

P1170377_zps321cbefe.jpg

Wires ran into the second door

P1170378_zps7ed0c666.jpg

I also put in a second run of 1/0 from the front to the back

P1170379_zps14b2cbe6.jpg

These trim pieces were a tight fit with all the wiring underneath them

Time to organize...

P1170381_zpsdcabaf35.jpg

I ordered some adapters so that I can easily fit the 6.5's in my doors, and those are gonna get here sometime tomorrow. I'm gonna try to get everything else done tonight so that all I have to tomorrow is throw those and the speakers in!

I am gonna be running active. As far as setting crossovers go, it should be pretty simple with the 80prs. I hope it's easy at least!
