mikelbolton
Yeah, I'm hoping batt and alt completely eliminate the problem... I like the T-Nut idea, especially if you think that you may have to pull the subs out every now and then. It'll keep the MDF from stripping out. Though I think I will take your advise and insert the T-nuts before assembling the box. Also think that I'll be using some sort of security screws. The more money I get into this, the more I get worried about things walking away. 2011 Chevrolet Aveo(click for build log)Clarion NX-603SKAR 4500.1DIraggi 320A alt Knukonceptz 1/0 Kollosus Fleks Cable8 AWG Sky High Car Audio OFC 1/0- Sky High Car Audio 2- XP3000 XS Power BatteriesSMD VM-12- 12" Ascendant Audio Mayhems Toolmaker Fuse block Toolmaker Bus Bars (Last Season scores 1-15" Mayhem) 145.2 dB- Sealed @ NSPL World Finals (9/28/14) 148.1 dB- Hardcore @ NSPL World Finals (9/27/14) 150.23-- Hardcore on 4500 Watts!!!! 252chevyboyz
@mike: I want to hex head screws for security but it limits me beig able to take it out at shows if needed and an alarm system is due for my Tahoe hopefully sooner than later. The alarm system will probably be near the last part of my Tahoe though. I got to find one I like and it will take a while to save up the funds for one. - 1997 Chevy Tahoe- Big 3 (1/0)- Dual Autocraft Batts- JVC KD-A315 HU- AQ 2200.1D- 18" AQ HDC3- Box w/ Removable Port (6ft^3 @ 36hz & 6.7ft^3 @ 42hz)- 39' 1/0 & 13' 2/0 Flex-A-Prene My Selling Feedback Build Log

252chevyboyz
I really appreciate it man. I am going to get 2 or 3 more cans and do the rest of the underbody like on the inside of the frame rails. Well im going to spray what i can getbto atleast. Not really doing it to gain db's but more or less just to make the metal on the trick last longer. - 1997 Chevy Tahoe- Big 3 (1/0)- Dual Autocraft Batts- JVC KD-A315 HU- AQ 2200.1D- 18" AQ HDC3- Box w/ Removable Port (6ft^3 @ 36hz & 6.7ft^3 @ 42hz)- 39' 1/0 & 13' 2/0 Flex-A-Prene My Selling Feedback Build Log

viper1315
@mike: Once you add a 2nd batt your voltage will stabilize a tad bit I bet @big: I appreciate the sub and yea I was checking those new bids out earlier. Seeing those SA-8's slammin makes me anxious to get mine reconed and playing @viper: They work ok but i honestly can't tell much difference between them and screws. Only thig they won't rip out of the MDF due to the teeth in t-nuts plus the threads don't go into the wood they go into the metal. So I guess it's a plus in that way. To me they are a pain to install. Next time I will install them before I glass the top to the box. Reason I say that is I will be able to take a hammer to tap them into the wood instead of relyin on the drill to pull them up into the wood. I stripped out 2 screws trying to pull them into the baffle. Also I would suggest to use a drill that plugs into the wall instead of a cordless drill since the corded drill has more torque. I will either stick wih regular screws on my next box or either I'll attach the t-nuts while the baffle is still off. I hope this makes sense haha yes it does thank you very much sir 2001 GMC Sierra DC Audio Build =http://www.stevemead...o-level-4-build 2001 GMC Sierra XSPower D3400 Pioneer AVHD 1400 MB Quart Component Sets Pioneer 5x4s Audiotechnix Power Wire, Speaker Wire, Sound Deadener DC Audio Level 4 10s DC Audio 3.5k Rocford Fosgate R400-4 HID 6k Slammed Truck on 20s Candy Blue.
