for those of you that think you cant get a virus on a mac you're wrong. they do exist they are just rare. There is no sense in coding somehting that would only be able to target 10 percent of the computers in the world compared to 80 percent.(the other 10 percent would be linux based) Its security by obscurity. basically no one gives a fuck about some little college kid who thinks hes cool on his macbook when there are countless fortune 500 companies that run windows hardware and have the ability to really fuck some stuff up if infected. Thats why there are so many more viruses aimed at windows.

thank you! Finally someone else who gets it. lol

Exactly, it pisses me off to no end when people say they cant get viruses because they have a mac. Your mac isn't immune to viruses, it's just not worth the coders time to only possibly affect 10% when they could potentially get 80%

EDIT: Not in a JP kind of way.

I thought I was going to die from all the jizz filling my ears.

not to mention, most people with macbooks have the same "im better than you" douchebag attitude. You are paying $1000 for a reg macbook that still runs a core 2 duo which is basically equiv to a $300 pc. granted macs are built really well and their software doesnt need all the hardware to back it up, but its just dumb. They are over priced to shit,,,oh wait... kinda like buying Rockford Fosgate hrmm haha.

i watch porn daily, torrent shit, and do not get virus's. microsoft security essentials and malwarebytes all day.

I'm a fan of Microsoft Security Essentials. It's lightweight, does it's thing in the background, and only bothers me when there's a problem. Seems pretty effective too

Oh, and it's free

im working on my cissp now. lets put it this way. ive been studying since april and ill need another two months of studying to go before i can take it.

LoL. I feel you man. I thought hmmm, my job allows me time to study, so I will get the CISSP book and study(the one by shon harris). Laughs..so I enrolled at AMU to take the actual classes. Once I'm done there, I will go to the CISSP boot camp, Then go take the exam. It is a no joke exam from what I hear. Good luck to you!
