It has the right resistance but its blacker than black and since these have plastic formers it expanded and is rubbing on the pole piece. It still moves in and out and never unwound or anything like that. It is a dual 4 ohm coil and is the exact same style as this one: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/504/nickpics008.jpg/sr=1 I also have an 12" elevation audio SQX with a burnt/broken voice coil. This has a bigger motor than the cvx and is built for having a super low fs spec. Ill get rid of them both for free, just pay the shipping.
