Robby Holmes Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 only prefabs i would ever even consider buying. never have, but if i was super desperate i would contemplate it. http://www.fatboxusa.com/search.php?search_query=kicker+l7&x=0&y=0 '08 Chevy Cobalt coupe 2.2 base model trunk build: 2 9512iSC flatwound alum 1.5 coils -extra 9500 spider pack -8" platinum carbon dustcaps 1 DD Z1 (.375ohm nominally daily) 3g31 AGM 320a Ohio Gen alt 1 DD S4 4 channel 4 VO-M8v1's (holes cut for 3rd pair) 2 CS 6.5's 2 VO-B1's Sony XAV-601BT all Knu Krystal RCA's Cadence 7band EQ ______________________ 148.3db @ 32hz (burp) 148.4 @ 37 & 38hz (burp) 146.xdb 90sec average (center windshield)

SlamminBeats Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 custom /thread few blocks? thats a dumb statement dude. stay away from kicker too.
christamez80 Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 Kicker isnt a bad sub but there are better subs for the money. I just sold 2-15's L7 to get better subs. I built a 12.64 cu ft box tuned to 33 hz and they hit good. Just want louder
Crandis16 Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 When you use distance in units of blocks it sounds like you're just trying to be loud and turn heads rather than doing it for your enjoyment, but I understand lol, who doesn't want a loud system build your own for sure. make a thread in the subwoofers/boxes category and I'm sure you'll get help from experienced members to get your box right for your application My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL
SlamminBeats Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 measuring your loudness in blocks is just ignorant.
Joe X Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 Withing the next few days I'm hopfully going to be getting a Kicker L7. I mostly listen to rap so I want deep loud bass that can be heard from a few blocks. I was wondering if I could order a nice box off sonicelectronix.com or Hifisoundconnection.com or if I would be better off making my own box. Any input is great. -Thanks Kickers like their space, hope you have it, there are better subs for the money, on the box i will tell you are out of spec and tuned high in the 40's and cheaply built sometimes with leaks.. just forget it.
Ddub847 Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 measuring your loudness in blocks is just ignorant. X2.....i measure in miles lol
