Doing a little sound cloud shopping today and came across this. I almost like it better than the original, almost. Took it to audacity and apparently it's unclipped. Just thought i'd share.

some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!

LOL of course Audacity says its not clipped, its not loud, thats why you shouldn't judge by the red clipping indicators on Audacity. Played in WMP and I see plenty of flat spots on the kicks. Nothin terrible though, just be smart with the volume when bumpin

This song is clipped bad but I still bump it at my usual level of 28/35 since it doesn't distort

is audacity a bad program to slow songs in so they are bass boosted?

im not trying to be the next decaf, but i want to make some songs just for myself.

what program should i use. And how do i detect clipping?

Audacity is fine for slowing songs

What I do is just play the song in Windows Media Player, right click on the main screen and choose Visualizations>Bars & Waves>Scope. Then you can just watch for squared off waves, it should be apparent if its the bass line thats clipped, the kicks or the highs.

Be on the main page of Tunez, go to the top right and search Clipping, plenty of threads and explanation why the Show Clipping tools is essentially useless
