Derrick824
So banginAltima & I got together today to test out his subs in my truck since I can power them properly (unlike that sissy Altima ). Vehicle: 2006 GMC Yukon Head Unit: Stock Bose Amps: pair of Sundown 1500Ds strapped @ 1ohm (0.5ohm each) Subs: pair of Rockford T1 15s dual 4ohm The result was a 150.2 on the dash DbDrag style and a 150.6 in the kick. I was only able to clamp one amp. On the first hit it pulled 295amps of current. Thats almost 600amps of current draw between the two. Voltage started at 14.4-14.5 and consistantly fell to 11.8. Impedance was 0.9ohms. I'll let ya'll do the math to calculate about much wattage that is. I'll tell you its waayyyy over they're max rated power handling. After many hits the amps barely got warm. The subs held strong up until a short session of Late Night Tip at 147db. After that they got a little warm and had some coil smell but nothing too bad. This has me wanting to invest in some 15s for an spl setup.
