I am trying to design a box for my 2 dc lvl 4 12 inch speakers.. my limitations are 30 (wide)x18(deep)x16(high).. i wanna tune it around 33-37 hz with a center port inbetween the two subwoofers.. im using the Torres box tuning calculator but im gettin so lost when it comes to the port part.. can someone help me?

You are tight, 3 cubic feet net (1.5 per sub) is recommended for those, increase your max dims a bit

He's got plenty of space if he goes with aero ports instead of a center or slot port.

I can mess with the depth a little..but the calculator says that I have 5 cubes of space.. Or am I missing something? what's confusing me is that when it comes to the port it says the port length should be 12 inches.. But then it says the port bends.. All my dimensions are greater that 12 so why does the port have to bend?

Also what is an aero port? Is it a round port?

you do until you start factoring in port displacement driver displacement etc

id post a screenshot of what you are seeing so we can see what you are looking at. thats the easiest way.

aeroport:

the beauty about aeroports is that you can do all external port, all internal port, or combination of internal/external port. you can also adjust it to change tuning to your liking

Sorry I made a mistake.. It was 3.07 cubesfor net volume.. I will post a picture later tonight when I get home from school and work.. Wow those aero ports look cool! They look hard to make tho
