I've only felt minor ones like 4.0 or less and they are still a bit nerve racking. You can predict Hurricanes and somewhat Tornados but you can't predict a quake and how big it will be. I believe the big one for Cali is supposed to hit So Cal and not up here in Nor Cal. The San Andreas Fault actually runs along the street on my apt complex side. Didn't know that til a few months ago.
