are my crescendo tweeters this harsh or am i doing something wrong?

they need EQing, all supertweeters pretty much are very harsh until you work with them a little.

i have a reQ5 equilizer i have but i dont no how to use it so i never hooked it up ha

you said they were running off HU. did you DD1 the speakers wires to find the clean signal? might be somewhat ditortion and because they are super tweets your amplifying that by a lot. . . also im sure when you have some good mids on an amp. with the tweets. itll balance out more because your getting a mix and not 5khz up lol

well i think it was alot of me not being use to so loud..killed my ears..had two of them hooked up n cruised for a couple hours..idk how good it is for the ears cuz it killed them but..great job by crescendo..super fckn loud! maybe a little 2 loud!

thats honestly just how they are. Crispy and clear as fuck, but they work when you have 150db's of bass. I've even heard hertz hi energy expensive super tweets and damn they are crispy and loud painfully

It baffles me that people expect actual good sound out of pro audio stuff..

With good processing you can get great sound out pro audio gear. You definately can't just throw the stuff in and go. He needs to get a good eq and adjust to taste.

Thank you. There's a reason it's pro audio equipment. Only positive I really see is being able to get loud for cheap.

Op, they'll sound better if you tune em properly but they still will be pretty harsh.
