are my crescendo tweeters this harsh or am i doing something wrong?

just came today 4 ft1-se tweeters. so i decided to hook oen up n try it out .. i have it just running of the headunit and hooked up the crossover. i normally have the volume at 52 and that single tweeter just killed my ears and i was just playing around with it. .. it seems to get veryyy harsh at that volume and it starts around 40'ish . are my setting on my headunit just wrong or what? their not even amped yet !

Have you heard these or comparable super tweets before?

that might just be pro audio/super tweeters for ya. I have never heard a pro audio setup in person that I liked the sound of, they were always too harsh for me. But thats not to say good sounding pro audio setups don't exist, I have only heard a few...

Edit: good question about the crossover, you probably want to be crossed about 3k or higher

honestly..never herd any aftermarket tweeters before so. just wondering if thisis how it is or what.. cuz if it is..my ears are fckd hahha

You might want to cross those things around 4khz

they need EQing, all supertweeters pretty much are very harsh until you work with them a little.
